Discover the Story Behind Nurture The Wild Project
Hi! I'm Paloma, joined by my partner Ryan and our little adventurer, Oona.
With a background as a Therapeutic Forest School Leader, Early Years practitioner, and a degree in Wildlife Conservation, my journey has always been guided by a deep love for nature and education. I spent years working in forest schools, nurseries, and early years settings, helping children develop meaningful connections with the outdoors.
But everything changed when Oona was born. While traveling through Thailand, I experienced the wonder of nature through her eyes. Yet, I also faced the struggles of motherhood in a new place—without a village, without support. That loneliness made me realize how vital community is for parents, especially mothers navigating early parenthood.
That moment of awe and challenge sparked a new vision—to create a space where families could learn, explore, and grow together in nature, while also building a supportive community for mothers. Rather than returning to traditional childcare settings, I followed my heart, and Nurture the Wild was born.
Today, I combine my passions for nature, education, and motherhood to craft enriching outdoor experiences that inspire children and families to reconnect with the wild, build confidence, and embrace the magic of outdoor learning—all while creating a strong, nurturing village for parents.
Join us on this journey and discover the beauty of childhood, naturally nurtured in the great outdoors—with a community by your side.
